Ignoring the Rest of the Story
Page One of the New York Times usually has some interesting stories. But sometimes you read only so far, and decide the rest will be a letdown.

If there's further discussion of Mr. O'Byrne's "syndrome" I
don't want to read it. I'm sure there's more to the story,
but I couldn't concentrate anyway. I'm busy thinking of
syndromes of my own.
