And Now This:

Apparently I'm not the only one who enjoyed the Times article yesterday.  WCBS-AM, a major news station in the NYC area, called me for a quick interview.  You can play or download the MP3 audio file here.  However, knowing how much I hate to download audio without information as to what it is, I've also provided a transcript below in case you share my opinion.  The major advantage of listening to the audio is that it will take more time and bandwidth, and you'll hear how many "ums" I used even while trying not to.

Announcer: WCBS Newstime 3:51

Forget the Generator!  A Morris County man has found a way to use his hybrid car to power his home if there's an emergency.  Let's listen to this now from WCBS Reporter Marla Diamond who spoke with him.

Diamond:  From the inventor who saved radio from the curse word <bleep> an alternative use for a hybrid car!  When 60 year old Richard Factor of Kinnelon got his Toyota Prius, not only did he save on gas...

Factor:  I realized that with the enormous battery that it had in it, I could make it into a UPS, that's an Uninterruptible Power Supply for the entire house.  It powers the refrigerator, the freezer, the computers, enough lights to get around.

But don't try this at home kids,

It's definitely dangerous, potentially, if you don't know what you're doing.

The technology executive admits he's a bit of a mad scientist.  But more power to him!  Marla Diamond, WCBS 880 News

Not much to it, eh?  Believe it or not, this was a good piece.  For this type of program, the almost-minute that it ran is an eternity.
